after a routine
mammogram. This
marked a massive
turning
point in her
life, and suddenly
things that perhaps
weren't so
important
before, became
critical as she took
on the fight for
wellness. Her
health, her family
and her happiness
were
things once
taken for granted,
but not anymore.
Upon recovery,
it
was with absolute resolution that
Jenny started
changing her
life.... for the
better. In 12 weeks she lost 10 kgs of
fat, and gained
muscle and strength.
But that's not all
she gained. Jenny
started
feeling
fantastic, living
with energy and
vigour, and helping
others
who wanted to
know 'how she did
it'.
So, how did she do
it? By taking on an
eating plan that was
healthy, balanced,
and supportive of
her strength and
cardio training. She
didn't spend hours
in a gym, and she
certainly didn't
stop eating. Her
approach was
different to most
weight loss
programs. She didn't
want to 'get
skinny', but she did
want ultimate
health, and
prevention of the
disease from ever
returning to her
body.
Today Jenny is
helping others to do
the same thing.
Breast cancer is so
rampant among women,
and whilst some
factors are out of
our control, our
diet and our
fitness is not. So
Jenny's message is
to control what you
can and reap the
rewards of a long
and healthy life.
Carly is Jenny's
eldest daughter. At
29 years old, Carly
is a self-described
nutrition obsessed,
fitness fanatic. She
grew up unhappy with
her weight, but it
was only when Carly
saw her 21st
birthday photos that
she really made the
decision to change
her life. Carly is
now 11kg lighter
than she was at age
21, and in the last
12 months has really
refined her eating
and exercise habits
to become the very
best (and
healthiest) that she
can be. Carly
realises that
disease prevention
is better than cure,
and with a family
history of breast
cancer, fights for
her ongoing wellness
every day by living
a healthy lifestyle.
Both Jenny and Carly
have helped many
family members and
friends overcome
obstacles in the
quest for health,
weight loss and
fitness. Both
enjoyed it so much
that they decided to
become qualified
fitness
professionals,
whilst Carly also
undertook training
in nutrition. Not
only did this
training improve
their own
transformations, and
those of their
family and friends,
but it has also
allowed to them to
create Fitgirls, an
all-encompassing
health, nutrition
and fitness
consultancy.
